The Cliffs of Corfu. I haven't seen a sea as blue and cliffs as beautiful. In my opinion these little island is definitely the most beautiful island in Europe. It's green (in June it is...), has big rough mountains and an even rougher seaside.

Griekenland • Vasteland

Parga, Greece

Parga, Greece. After a boat trip with the boat you can see at the docks we arrived at Parga. Parga is a nice greece city with colorful houses and some very steep, slippery roads.

Our place in Lombok

Our small little cottage on Lombok. We rented the entire house for myself and three friends. In every other country on this world you would have to pay the jackpot for a cottage as this one. Not in Lombok....

Surfers paradise.

After descending our way through surfer village, stop for 30 minutes to watch the breathtaking view and walking through narrow passages, walking on wooden bridges and going through caves we arrived on the Blue Point beach of Bali. Surfers start here and start surfing a little bit more into the sea. One of the surfers was done for today.

Just a cliff in...Bal

One of several cliffs on the Kuta Selatan peninsula of the island Bali. Bali has nice beaches but, when visiting the sea, a prefer a more rough terrain. I think I've found it, didn't I?

Eventually we bought.

This lovely girl was walking around the harbor selling sweets and drinks. She had such a lovely personality that we, eventually, bought the entire basket. I actually don't know where we left all the sweets 'cause I haven't seen half of it afterwards...

A bay in Lombok

The view on the bay I've mentioned in my other picture on Lombok. Lombok looks like it was comprised out just 3 colors: white, blue and green.

The best view of...In

After recovering from a severe seasickness (and blood pressure of 135/180) I continued my journey through Lombok and... Damn! We rented some motorcycles and just went on adventure. No maps, no guides, no nothing... Just our eyes. Somewhere during the trip we were about to take yet another corner with sheet-metal on the sides to prevent slipping in a steep cliff. For some curious reason I was curious what was behind the fence so we searched our way through. What we find behind it was just pure magic. Only the rainbows and unicorns were missing... We were standing on a piece of land that went into the sea for about 500 meter. On our left side we were looking in a giant valley surrounded with the greenest mountains ever and full with palm trees. The valley ended at a white beach with overhanging palm trees and fishing-boats. On our right side we had a giant bay with - again - beautiful sapphire-blue water, white beaches and palm trees. The star of the sow was standing in front of us. In front of us the mighty Mount Agung of Bali guarded our horizon while breathing smoke (vapor?) into the blue sky.

Blue point, Bali

This place was so incredible beautiful my entire group of friends just shut up and enjoyed the view for half an hour. This place is famous for surfers all over the world. When you arrive at the so-called 'blue point' it's nice but nothing special within Bali. Once you started to descend towards the little village of 'blue point' it just unfolded in front of our eyes. The village is completely build up out of basic 'huts' made from sheets of metal. It closely resembles a Brazilian favela. Within the village everyone lives, speaks en breaths surfing. Here we are sitting in a little restaurant with at all the surfers at sea. Behind us runs the same cliff you see in the village, next to us is a team from Red Bull filming a movie about surfing and in front of us is the sea. What more do you wish for?

Arrival on Gili...Tra

My arrival on Gili Trawangan. This little island has no cars (only horses are used for public transport), no police and - definitely - no stress. A friend of mine compared these islands (besides Trawangan it consists of Air and Melo) with Jamaica.

Impressive mountains.

On long flights (to Indonesia on this occasion) I always make sure to get a window-seat. Most of the time it is just to repress the urge to see the country I'm visiting but this time it was different. I was quite bored at the moment and was just looking out of my window when all of a sudden it looked like the plane dropped 3-5 kilometers towards the earth although I hadn't felt a thing. It was actually the other way around. The earth had moved 3-5 kilometers towards our plane. Where I, at first, could only identify large lakes and mountains within the landscape I could now see the different houses and even cars on the roads.
