The Interislander Ferry crossing. Take it at dusk from South to North on a night like this and it is one of the best boat crossings anywhere. Love it a lot. Done it 20 times and still amazing.

Lake Manaouri is so much nicer than touristy Te Anau. The lake view changes every 5 minutes. Wild and wonderful- New Zealand at her very best.

This is a man made lake created after the Clyde Dam swtopped the Clyde River. Wild sage (salie) was growing all over this hill so I gathered some good handfuls and made a nice sauce to go over the roast duck. I love these colours- it looks so cold but it was actually about 25 degrees. Everything fragrant.

If you walk on Kaikoura beach when it is sunny the hot stones on the surface and the cold wet ones underneath roll around to give a great foot massage. Its almost enough to blow your head off. I love the misty mountains in the background.

This is a potrait of a fern just emerging. I took this at Orakei Korako which is steamy from volcanic activity. Maybe the sulfurous air helps them grow.

This was just a side waterfall of a whole collection. But this was the cutest of them all. To get here drive up the Turoa road and about 14km's up you can park and walk the track to the right of the road to get here.
