Iguana can be found all over Aruba,took this picture in the Wilhelmina Park in Oranjestad
When the animals are frightened by a predator or humans,they will attempt to flee, and if near a water, they dive into it and swim away.
If cornered by a threat, the Iguana will extend and display the dewlap under its neck,that is a flap of skin which hangs under its neck,they stiffen and puff up their body, hiss, and bob its head up and down at the aggressor,If threat persists the Iguana can lash with its tail, bite and use its claws in defense, they can become up to 2 meters long from head to tail
