When I look at photos such as this I remember what it is that makes me return again and again to Burma. This is the view from Shwedaung pagoda the highest point in Mrauk U looking towards the mountans in the east and away from the village. I am glad that for now it is not so easy to reach here, a flight from Yangon to Sittwe and then a long boat journey to and fro. It keeps the place magical.
