Seville makes a great (long) weekend city trip, small enough to cover everything by foot, a few gems to see, good food and in the spring not too many tourists and reasonably priced hotels. I was impressed.
Seville’s cathedral is one of the largest Christian churches in the world. It stands on the site of the great 12th-century Almohad mosque, with the mosque’s minaret (the Giralda) still towering beside it.
