As we walked along the wild coast of North Yorkshire we stumbled, literally, upon a colony of grey seals; mothers and their pups. I saw a seal in the distance and walked hurriedly and excitedly towards it when the rock next to me moved, Eeeekkkk! The seals were so well camouflaged but as we adjusted our eyes there were maybe more than a 100! What a wonderful surprise and experience!.
The coast is wild and deserted apart from a few walkers with very low tides which leave behind many rock pools full of fish, an ideal breeding ground.
