One of my favourite streets to walk through - Maha Bandula Road, once nothing more than a stretch of mud flats now a dense traffic thoroughfare. Vehicles clog the streets and the crowded sidewalks are an obstacle course of stalls selling everything and offering various services.
This young girl although maybe dreams of being elsewhere, works in a small telephone kiosk, if you need to make a call you go to her. As mobile phones become more available kiosk such as this will be obsolete.
