We wake early the next morning, or rather I should say we were woken by the chokidor (caretaker) with our promised two buckets of hot water for washing.
There is a small place to eat just opposite, paratha and a fried egg served on newspaper seems to be the speciality, washed down with black tea. The rice-field workers have already eaten and are heading to the field clutching their tools and tiffin (lunch) boxes.We eat and walk into the village as it wakes up.
