I am not posting this photo to shock, RR's that know me, know that this is not my style. It is part of the story.
According to islamic customs, (and other religions also) it is good to give alms to the less fortunate and needy. Therefore, you will always find a concentration of people needing money at the most holy of pilgrims places. The Shal Jalal tomb is one such place. In a land where a social service net is non-existent. This is the work of these people. This is how they must live.
We bought tea and snacks. Not much I know to lighten their load, but maybe to lighten mine.
