We knew beforehand that our stay in the village would be basic (a thin mattress,limited electricity and no running water). We stayed with two elderly people (in their eighties, who could still bend like a straw), this is our host, a charming man. The brick building to the left of the hay stack was our "bathroom" - a brick tank was inside and a dipper for scooping water over ourselves our toilet was a hole above a deep ditch with a straw fence for modesty.
