We were waiting for the paddle steamer, known as Rockets,which have been plying the rivers of Bangladesh since the days of the British Raj.
But their glory days are over.
They are being overtaken by more modern forms of transport.
Most people go by road now. And sadly we had to abandon any hope of travelling on the Rocket as it never came, stuck in fog up-river they told us, - take the bus!
