Bangladesh is, I believe, a very photogenic country with this series I will introduce you to a few faces that I found in front of my lens this winter and a share their short story.
A passenger waiting with me for the ferry in old Dhaka, her husband was in hospital, I could not understand whether through sickness or an accident, but she was making the crossing to nurse him for the day. The hospital staff limit themselves to medical needs only, washing the patients, buying and cooking of foods is all done by the relatives or friends.
She spent every day by his bedside tending his needs. The medicine was expensive, she hoped he would get better soon, everyday was a drain on their family finances, and a day less that he as bread winner, could bring in more money.
So many people living on the edge.
