The long bar café restaurant Areal, with wine yard at Main Street, Venice, LA. This is a very nice district. Main Street from Santa Monica to Venice Beach in direction Marina Long Beach, local good food and nice shops. An Irish Pub as well. At the area Venice around Erwin-hotel, some unique old Venice trash, good enough for a cup coffee. More (to) old hippy atmosphere than beach vibrations (me) Surfboards and wetsuits to rent by different shops around. Instruction-lessons as well.
Along the beach stripe about 12 Km a flat, concrete bike road ´ON´ the beach, from Malibu Silver Creek/Topanga—Santa Monica Beach—Venice Beach—near Marina Long Beach. Around Santa Monica and Venice, rent shops where all kinds of bikes to rent. In many different constructions (3-wheels layer) tandem, cruise bikes, race bike, roller skates, skate boards, ect. nearby muscle beach.
At Wilshire Blvd. the British Pub, Ye Olde Kings Head, for a good steak with chips and beer.
On Third Street Promenade, from nine a.m. in the morning breakfast; sandwich, bacon, eggs, roosted brown bread and a large cup of coffee. Corner restaurant 3th street with Broadway road.
In Santa Monica Plaza, a big shopping center and inside the Green House, a restaurant with beautiful view. Breakfast; spinach and chicken, delicious.
On Santa Monica Blvd. on Wednesday and Saturday the Farmers Market. Very good; with most fresh vegetables and all sort of fruit.
Riding by the red bus, Rapid Metro, line 704 from Santa Monica Beach in 25 minutes to Hollywood Vine. Direction downtown LA, Union Station (55 minutes), cost $1.50 cash paid no change.
Local Blue Bus, line 733 from Westwood village (UCLA) over Sunset Blvd. Beverly Hills to Hollywood. Some nightclubs and bars located. Many more things as movies, museum, the big art academy on Sunset in LA, to see and spent happy times.
Next on; going to San Francisco (instant a night out); from Union Station, downtown LA by bus (bay seven) daily leave at 11.30 a.m. ride duration 7 hrs. (incl. sanitaria/air co/water).
