Centennial Park in Nashville is een place to be on a lazy Sunday. Lekker picknicken in het mooi aangelegde park met veel bloemen. Stoomtrein kijken en natuurlijk het Parthenon bezoeken. binnen vind je een kunstmuseum. Als museum heeft het Nashville Parthenon een permanente collectie van 63 schilderijen door 19e- en 20e-eeuwse Amerikaanse kunstenaars.

Het standbeeld is van John W. Thomas . Hij was een zakenman en ook de directeur van de Centennial Exposition in 1897. De inscriptie van het het beeldt luidt:
