The Dhammayangyi pagoda is visible from all Bagan, as it is the largest temple in the site. It was built in the 12th century in the similar style of Ananda but it could never been completed, because the builder King Narathu was assassinated inside the temple. It is somewhat difficult to reach by bicycle over the dusty sandy paths, easy of course by balloon which gives the spectacular viewpoint.
