Nationaal Park Timanfaya is een natuurgebied op Lanzarote. Dit landschap ontstond door een vulkaanuitbarsting in 1730 en tot op de dag van vandaag is er nog steeds sprake van vulkanische activiteit. Ik had het idee dat ik op de maan was aangekomen; kan me voorstellen dat het "maanlandschap" er zo uit zou kunnen zien. Dat deed me denken aan dit mooie nummer van The Police - Walking on the Moon:
