Golvende lijnen benadrukken het 'themapaviljoen' van de Expo in 2012 in Yeosu. Ik was 1 dag op de Expo en wel op de een na laatste dag. Maar toch nog erg druk eigenlijk. Vooral de Koreanen zelf liepen er in de rondte. Alleen net niet op deze foto. Net een grote walvis toch! De panelen moeten volgens mij dan ook de baleinen van een walvis voorstellen.

Theme Pavilion, the world’s first pavilion to be built offshore, is the main hall that exhibits the theme of the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea, “The Living Ocean and Coast,” and that promotes awareness for the oceans. Inside the pavilion, different images of the five oceans are shown on the 20m-long video wall display and the half-moon video screen of 5m diameter, rendering an underwater atmosphere. The main show featuring a boy’s quest for the Sea of Life and a dugong’s adventure is particularly interesting. Finally, there is the Giant Clam that changes daily throughout the entire Expo period according to visitor participation.
