Waiting for the rain to stop
Bangladesh
As is customary to do, this extended family had travelled to the Hazrat Shah Jala mosque to pay homage to the grandmother, the wife of the elderly man squatted on the right. The rain was heavy and in thin clothes would have been drenched in no time. We huddled in the doorway opposite, they were as interested in us as we were in them. Once the rain had stopped they invited us into the mosque to join them for food, again a custom at such occasions.
